NMC Case Examiners close investigation for a nurse whose fitness to practise was called in to question.
This was a case dating back a number of years and the NMC Case Examiners concluded that the nurse had significant insight and had taken active and positive steps to remediate and as such found no case to answer on current impairment. NMC Fitness to Practise Defence Barrister, Catherine Stock, said:
“This case highlights the significance of working with us and following advice offered, as well keeping motivated and positive throughout what can be a long and protracted investigation.”
The nurse, VL, said:
“Ms Stock and Mr McCaffrey represented me throughout an (almost) 3 year investigation process with the NMC.
“It has recently concluded with no case to answer and I can confidently say this outcome would have never been reached without their legal knowledge, experience and sheer hard work. They are upfront and transparent about their role, input, fees and are both kind people which has helped immeasurably.
“If you are facing any kind of regulatory concern or process, I wouldn’t hesitate in using King’s View Chambers. I am extremely grateful to them, and it is no exaggeration to say they have been instrumental in getting my life back.”
