The NMC is the regulator for the nursing and midwifery professions in the United Kingdom. The Council maintains the NMC register which includes of all nurses, midwives and as well as specialist community public health nurses eligible to practise within the UK.

When the NMC cases are investigated, the results of those enquiries are published on the main NMC website in their ‘hearings and sanctions’ section. Here, they publish the most recent 3 months of outcomes and sanctions of NMC cases, with older updates removed from the website as decisions can be changed.
